Flooded yard 2013...

We took the boys over to Grandpa Art and Grandma Donna's house this morning so that they could play in the flooded yard while it was being irrigated.  They had a blast!  Such simple summer fun.  There are a lot of pictures, but sometimes I just can't narrow it down.  We will enjoy looking back at these in years to come.  (Here are last year's pictures...Charlie was so little!)

Baseball...

Grandpa Art and Grandma Donna came over last week to wish John a happy birthday (I sort of forgot to mention that we celebrated his birthday, but we did!). In true Henry fashion, he took them outside and then assigned them positions in his backyard baseball game. If you ever want to make Henry's day, just ask him to play baseball with you and then let him direct the game how he sees fit. Grandpa Art & Grandma Donna were good sports!

I love watching Henry direct these games. I can't wait to see how this interest grows and develops as he gets older.

Great-grandparents...

...are great! I took the boys over to spend some time with Great-grandpa Art and Great-grandma Donna last week. Henry had a great time playing with them. Our boys are lucky to have them in their lives.

I think the highlight of the visit was when Grandpa Art put on the catcher's mask and played baseball with Henry...

Henry liked to pitch the ball to Grandpa Art and then run the bases himself. Batters aren't necessary in his games...

After the baseball playing, Henry wanted to swing so Grandpa Art pushed him. Then, Henry got off and wanted Grandpa Art to get on...

These boys are so lucky to have people of all ages who love them so much!
