Reading...

I spend hours (!) every day reading to my boys.  When they wake up, after breakfast, before naps, after naps, before bedtime, whenever.  They both love to listen to stories.  Sometimes I wish I had a personal photographer with me all the time to capture some of these special reading times.  These are the memories that I know I will cherish once my boys can no longer fit in my lap or *gasp* once they no longer want their mother to read to them.  But, last night, as I read to Henry from our very cherished Jesus Storybook Bible, I called to John to grab the camera so that he might capture this precious reading time with my big 3-year old boy.  I am so thankful for these pictures...

These pictures aren't perfect, but that moment sure was.

Our new nativity...

My mom & dad gave Henry an early Christmas present this year, his first Nativity! He loves it...it is always the first thing he plays with when he wakes up. He especially loves to push the button on the top of the stable to listen to the song, "Away in a Manger".

On Sunday morning, I told Henry that we were going to get ready to go to church so that we could learn about Jesus. As soon as I finished saying this, he ran to his Nativity set box and pulled out baby Jesus in the manger and ran over and brought it to me. So precious!

Thanks Grandpa Royce & Grandma Gail!
