Another museum visit...

I certainly don't record every outing we take to the Lori Brock Museum, but I thought I'd take a few pictures on this trip.  Grandma Gail joined us and we had a great time!

Charlie loved walking around in his fireman boots (no picture of that, unfortunately) and seeing himself on TV in the newsroom...

Henry decided to augment his pretend play this time by bringing his own fireman jacket and rain boots from home.  He was so excited to wear them to the museum that he laid them out on the floor of his room the night before, "like real firemen".  He had a blast being Fireman Henry for the day...

As usual, we had another great day at the museum.  Our membership is proving to be well worth the investment!

Chaffee Zoo...

While we were in Fresno last week visiting G.G. Sue, we made time to go to the Chaffee Zoo.  We had a great time!  2 hours was about all we could handle at this stage in the boys' lives, but 2 hours still allowed us to see plenty.  Charlie slept through the first half of our visit, but Henry and Levi were awake the whole time. The big highlight of our visit was the bird show.  They showed so many different kinds of birds and had them flying around right over the top of us.  Very fun!  I will let the pictures speak for themselves...

This also means that we crossed another item off of our Summer Activity List...

Flowers on the farm...

My dad is growing flowers again this year. We drove out to his Copus Road ranch with him yesterday to see them, and boy were they beautiful! A talented photographer would have a field day out there with all the beauty to be captured...I enjoyed it while I was there and did my best to capture a bit of what we saw. It should also be noted that Henry picked out his own clothes. He specifically wanted to wear a plaid shirt and his "farmer jeans" (He thinks Levis are farmer jeans because they have a horse on the tag). He also wanted to wear his work boots, but unfortunately, they are about 5 sizes too big for him, so he had to settle for crocs this time...

For some reason, balancing on a beam is the picture of a carefree childhood to me. I'm glad I have this captured...

Charlie spent a lot of time in the dirt...

Apparently Grandma Gail got tired of holding him (I can't see what would be so tiring about that ;)...

Another balance beam picture...

Henry wanted to help Grandpa Royce pick the flowers, so he went into the field and picked off all the petals and threw them in the bucket...

I think this one's my favorite of the boys with Grandpa Royce...

Denise and Andrew's dog, Olive, joined us...

We had a fun time out on the farm. Thanks dad for the trip!

Aunt Denise, Levi, and G.G. Sue...

G.G. Sue was scheduled to make a trip down to visit us via the train, but to our surprise, Aunt Denise & Levi joined her! We had a great time together as usual. Aunt Denise grabbed my camera, so we have lots of pictures from our time together...

Don't Levi & Charlie look a lot alike in this picture?...

Levi doesn't have much hair, but he has enough to show off his awesome widow's peak :)
Henry watching netflix on Grandma Gail's "big ipod" (her ipad)...

G.G. Sue & Charlie...

G.G. Sue & Henry...

Aunt Denise feeding Levi...

John was peering through the opening into the kitchen and trying to get the boys to smile...

He managed to crack us all up (well, apparently Levi didn't think he was funny ;) by putting his hands on top of his head and dancing around in circles...

Me and the little boys...

Charlie...

I'm hardly qualified to be introducing G.Sue to the world of instagram, but I was showing her a few pictures that Denise posted...

And, of course, a gathering wouldn't be complete without Henry sneaking some sort of snack food :)
