Henry's handprint...

I traced Henry's hand just after his first birthday, and finally got around to embroidering it yesterday. Ideally I would love to trace his hand on every birthday, embroider the handprint, and then turn the embroidery into quilt blocks. We'll see if that happens, but it's a good idea I think :) For now, I plan to use this handprint as art for Henry's new playspace.

Isn't this pillow fantastic?

...Julie embroidered it for me for my birthday. She made up the pattern & everything! I love it.

A little embroidery practice...

I just finished this little sampler tonight. I've progressed quite a bit in my application and understanding of the stitches, although I still have much to learn.

Thanks to Grandma Net and her emergency french knot tutorial. I would never have been able to finish this without her.

Embroidery Projects #2 & #3...

John listened to the Dodger game and surfed the net and I embroidered. A perfect Sunday afternoon, no?

(I need a lighter gray to finish the steam and don't have it yet...)

Embroidery 101...

I just completed my first embroidery project. A sweet little dress form courtesy of this lovely pattern. Thanks to Grandma Net for the lesson.
