Today's Task #2: gift bag...

Practically imperfect in every way...but I love it...took less than an hour & even used up some scraps. A perfect Friday afternoon project.

Fabric origins:
*gift bag: a 4-year old Urban Outfitters bed spread remnant
*"J": Amy Butler's lotus fabric
*Handles: A Joanne's Fabric clearance special

Project: Curtain Bag...

I turned Sharon's old kitchen valance into a bag for Mother's Day. I feel so Maria Von Trapp-like.

Project: Artsy Clutch

The pattern came from this lovely book. It's just the most simple little pouch ever and oh so cute. I think I'll make lots more of these.

Pattern Lust...

I love Amy Butler's new Birdie Sling pattern! I've been itching to find a new tote pattern that was both big enough for all of my junk, and cute enough to showcase my newest fabric aquisitions. Now that I've found it, all I have to do is wait for it to be released...

This has summer sewing project written all over it.

Project: Pleated Floral Tote

I finished this pleated tote on Sunday. I used some more of the fantastic decorating fabric from Cindy W. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it, but I'm sure I'll think of something...

Project: Pleated Tote #2

I finished this bag last night. The straps were too narrow to work with, so I widened them, but now they're too wide. Oh well, I'll fix it next time. Overall I think it turned out well, nothing spectacular, but a nice tote all the same.
I love pleated bags!

The interior...another double pocket. I'm becoming a huge fan

Project: Flower Tote

I needed a project this week. This little bag was it. It's meant to look a bit rough and flawed. I think it turned out imperfectly perfect.
