Orange Picking...

A few weeks ago the family gathered to pick Grandpa Art & Grandma Donna's orange tree.  This tree produces the best oranges so it's always exciting when they are finally ready to be harvested.  (Although, admittedly, I'm not much help when it comes to picking, but I sure do appreciate everyone's efforts!)  Henry even got to go up in the cherry picker with daddy to help get the oranges at the top of the tree.  A real highlight for him to be sure!  Here are a few pictures of everyone working...

And this last one isn't of orange picking, but of Aunt Adrianne reading to the boys.  My boys LOVE books and she was happy to indulge them.  Cute picture!

The box of oranges...

We usually keep our oranges in the garage, but somehow this box ended up in the house, and I wasn't about it pick it up and move it, so it stayed. Henry loves this orange box. Anytime he wants juice he runs to the box, brings us 2 oranges, & exclaims, "Juice!" Last weekend John and I found him sitting in the box of oranges. This boy is obsessed!

Juice...

Henry has discovered the joys of fresh squeezed orange juice. He had 3 sippy cups full yesterday and one today. He keeps bringing me the components of our juicer and pointing to the oranges and saying "juice". It's pretty cute.

If you are interested in making fresh squeezed orange juice, I would highly recommend the juicer attachment for the kitchenaid mixer. It works perfectly, is easy to clean, and isn't too bulky to store...

Along with his orange juice, Henry has also recently become obsessed with his hand-me-down Dodger shirt. Its a size 4T, so it's too big for him, but he doesn't seem to mind.
