Henry sings...

...sort of.

Henry participated in his first children's choir performance this past Sunday at our church picnic. He didn't do any singing, but at least he stood on stage with the rest of the kids (with mom's help). We'll see how future children's choir performances go for Henry, as John despised singing at church. In fact, when I ask him about his least favorite childhood memories, singing at church and clothes shopping top the list (such a rough childhood he had :). Here are a few pictures...

A day trip...

Our Sunday School class spent the weekend camping at Quail Valley. It's a beautiful place! We joined them for the day on Saturday and had a great time. We can't wait to go back!





We have some of the sweetest girls at our church. They love to play with Henry and we're happy when they do.

SMBC Ministry Fair...

Our church had their annual ministry fair last Sunday evening. All of the different ministries set up a booth and shared their various plans/activities/goals for the coming year. It was fun. Since I am a part of the Women's Ministries committee, I volunteered to decorate our booth. Making the board reminded me of my Science Fair days. I really hated everything about science fair...except for making my board. That. I. loved. Some things never change, I guess.



The church library had their own booth complete with a rocking chair and rug! Henry enjoyed listening to multiple stories with his cousins, Charlotte & Laurel. It was super cute to see the little ones on the rug while their parents milled about. I loved it!

Henry's performing debut...

Last Sunday night was special. Henry made his SMBC children's program debut! Isn't it great that a church includes even their babies in the presentation of the Christmas message? We think so. Here's a picture taken from the video John captured...
