A patchwork pillow...
Sometimes I just want to sew something with all of my favorite scraps. So...sometimes I do. This pillow was my result. It now lives in Henry's placespace. I used binding on the edge and then sewed it down by hand. I think I'll use this method again.

A wedding gift...
Shelly & I made this Christmas set for a wedding gift last week. We were a bit bummed that we didn't get to keep it for ourselves, though. That's the trouble with making gifts sometimes...you have to actually give them away.

A new quilt...
I saw this zigzag quilt awhile back and instantly loved it. I showed it to Denise & she loved it too. So we've decided to make our own rainbow-colored zigzag quilts. We have some time scheduled at the beach next month to do just that. This will be a great way to use up fabrics in my stash. This quilt-making stuff is addicting!

Bunting cards...
Denise's birthday was Wednesday (Happy Birthday Denise!)...her lovely Fresno family members threw her a party tonight, but we could not go :( So, in an attempt to make it up to her, I baked a cake and sent it up to Fresno with her friend, Layne. I also made this birthday card & sign to go with it.

I seriously can't get enough of bunting these days. I am beginning to think that I may possibly NEVER throw away another scrap of fabric again. These cards are the perfect way to use up those last little bits. I see plenty more of these little bunting cards in my future.

Felt dot banner...
...I spent one evening last week digging through my sewing room trash can. I was looking for felt scraps and boy did I find some! I took the felt that I found (and some larger scraps that I had lying around) and cut out randomly sized circles. After all of my circles were cut out I sewed them together (shoving them under the presser foot one right after the other) and what do you know, another banner was born! This was a very fun & mindless project, just what I needed after finishing Henry's garden panel for his playhouse.

New Headband...
Denise and I wanted to do a simple sewing project while she was visiting last week. This little braided headband fit the bill nicely...it used up my scraps and took about 10 minutes to complete. It doesn't get much better than that. This would be a perfect project to do with little girls. Almost instant gratification. Project idea found here and tutorial here.
