A haircut...

...and a ball. He's happy because he has a ball in his hands, and I'm happy because I finally got around to taking him to get a haircut. It was a win-win kind of day.

And yes, the grass in between the pavers is out of control, but...it's basketball season. First things first around here :)

Henry's first haircut...

My very gracious hairdresser agreed to come to my house to give Henry his first haircut. I had originally scheduled it this way so that both sets of grandparents could come and watch, but unfortunately, my parents had other plans, so it was Grandpa Bob & Grandma Sharon who were able to attend. Henry was initially very upset with the whole haircutting process, but eventually seemed to warm up to it. I didn't want a very drastic change, just a good trim...especially around the ears and on top. I think it turned out perfectly.

AFTER:

It's hard to tell in this picture, but his hair is shorter and much more manicured. He even got a certificate of first haircut completion for his baby book. A fun memory to be sure!

New Haircut...

It was getting too long...so I had my lady cut a chunk of it off. 2 1/2 inches actually. She asked me if my husband cared that I was cutting it shorter. Apparently some husbands care about this sort of thing. I'm not married to one of those kinds of husbands. I could probably shave my head bald and John would be ok with it. In fact, he'd probably be happy, far less loose hair on the bathroom sink is the way he'd see it. Either way, now I have less hair to blow dry in the morning, and for this I'm thankful.
