Olivia...

So Kelly's Post on The Velveteen Rabbit got me thinking about children's books...I had to remove the rather frightening mental pictures of stuffed animal bonfires from my mind, so I tried to think about children's books that made me laugh. Immediately my mind was whisked away to the world of my piglet pal, Olivia. Olivia's wit (and author Ian Falconer's sarcasm) combine to create a book that is cute enough to read to kids, yet clever enough to be appreciated by even the most mature adults.

On a side note: I just learned today that Olivia's newest adventure, Olivia Helps with Christmas, will be released on October 2nd . Which, of course, is now on my Christmas list.
