Project: Grandma Net's Pillow

My Grandma Net has been teaching me how to sew, so I thought it appropriate to make her something for Christmas. My monogram pillow has quickly become my favorite couch accessory so I thought I'd share my love with G. Net. She loves chickens, so I used a chicken fabric for the "F" and a brown speckled fabric (reminiscent of eggs) as the background. After I completed the "F" I was a bit disappointed with how few chickens were actually able to be seen. To combat this problem I sewed a band of the fabric around the back so that it might be viewed better. It seemed to work out for me, although I'm not sure I'd do it that way again. I should probably pick a smaller print for the monogram itself...Oh well, there's always next time.
