"Crappy" Writing...

So John's team was featured in our local paper last week. Although the game covered was recorded as a loss for John's team, the writer heaped praises on the team's efforts...that is until the third to last paragraph when he wrote, "Gamez was SHS's second leading scorer as he netted 12 points for coach Wiebe's crappy team." Obviously this was a poorly edited article & the word in question should have been scrappy, but still. This after only a few months ago a basketball article contained the headline "WIEBE NAMED BOYS' BASKETBALL HEAL COACH" (um, yeah, it should have been HEAD) Oh well, what can you do? This paper always reminds us of The Onion and their articles poking fun at small town newspapers. They are always right on the mark.
