So, I decided to start another project. This is a cute little apron from
Amy Butler's book,
"In Stitches". A couple of things prevented me from finishing it tonight. First, running out of bobbin thread (why does this always happen at the most inconvenient times in a project?!) and second, I sewed the wrong piece of trim to the bottom of the apron, so I had to rip that out and start that part over. I've noticed that when I get tired I tend to make a number of mistakes, so I decided to stop for the night...
My sewing room. That rolling chair on our hardwood floors allows me to scoot from cutting table, to ironing board, to sewing machine with ease. (I've gotten to the point where I can cut, iron, and sew without ever getting up...)
The apron thus far (My first attempt at pleats is shown at the top of the picture...we'll see how they turn out)
The trim on the bottom of the apron. Both fabric patterns are
Denyse Schmidt. (I love her stuff!)

very cute! I love the trim.
I too love anything by Denyse Schmidt. I try not to continue obsessively sewing on a project into the night because I find that I make horrible mistakes. I hate quiting when I'm that close to the end. Next time I see you, I'll try to remember the purse pattern so you can see.
