Sewing Project: Vintage Apron

For some reason I didn't have very much time to sew over this 3-day weekend, but I did manage to complete this vintage apron. The pattern I used is shown below. Next time I make this apron I plan to widen the waistband and ties, they were way too thin. I had to use a scant 1/8" seam on the ties, which of course, was a complete disaster as the seam was not sturdy enough to withstand turning the ties inside out. However, if I used a 1/4" seam then I had no room to turn the tie inside out. It was the lesser of 2 evils really. So anyways, the finished product is shown below.

The apron up-close. I love this pattern because it allowed me to mix and match lots of different fabrics. I went with a sort of vintage chicken theme on this one.

The apron from afar (sort of) Ignore my puffy sweatshirt, it looks ridiculous with the apron.
