I finagled this map from the city last year (truth be told, Bob got it for me, it helps to have a father-in-law on the city planning commission) and finally got around to hanging it. It's rather large, so I was kind of waiting for an empty wall to beckon. The call came last weekend, and John responded. I plan to hang candle sconces on either side to ground the picture, but otherwise, I'm satisfied with the result. John is a sucker for maps and I always love to include his interests in our home decor, so this was a win-win.

That map is too cool. One of my favorite parts about the flight from Bakersfield to LA is seeing all the beautiful fields overhead. They are so lush and green and symmetrical.
