The
sewing room curtains I made last week were cute, but a bit boring. While Shana and I were shopping on Saturday we were searching for something that would liven them up a bit. After hours of scouring the aisles of
Beverly's for a number of project ideas, we came across the white polka dot fabric and vintage green, red, black & white floral you see below. We were immediately smitten and I purchased the fabrics without another thought. Introducing the red into the room makes it so much more fun!
My 2 tie back options. I went with the thicker floral band.
I had never before tried making buttonholes, but I thought this would be a great project for experimentation. They were surprisingly easy.
The lighting's not great, and the room is a mess, but these are the tie backs in context.
Tie backs: side view
*Now that I look at the curtains, I think I might raise the ties, they seem to look a little low.*
