Grandpa Art & Grandma Donna called and the family came. All of us except: the
Charlottesville, VA
Franzs, Joseph and Jordan
Penner, and the future
Sina Penner. We gathered to celebrate many things, 2 of which were Elijah's (likely) last extended family gathering before he journeys to his bride in Cambodia and Kristen, Alan, and Anna's trip north to
Shafter. We dined on lasagna, bread, and salad and enjoyed homemade ice cream, strawberries, and chocolate peanut butter chip cookies for dessert. The 4
Penner siblings made plans for their trip to Cambodia so the talk after dinner centered around traveler's checks (do people use those anymore?), food options, and appropriate footwear. It was a time to enjoy one
another's company but most importantly, to dote on the 2 young ones in the bunch. Baby Anna and
Janae stole the show with their charm and cuteness.
