Alameda Finds...

...better late than never:

Denise talked me into this shelving unit, and I am so glad that she did, for only $45 it was a steal, and oh so clever and unique. The fantastic old man who makes them buys wine boxes in bulk, then turns them into exciting things. The piece I purchased has 3 boxes used as shelves and a shaved tree branch as the handle on top. Oh and I love the color! If you are interested in distressing things yourself, he said that he paints his pieces fully first, lets them dry, and then uses an elliptical sander to create the "worn" look. I love it! Not so sure what I'm going to do with it yet, but I know I'll find a place.

More "W"'s:

These 2 little linens were not purchased in Alameda, but rather at the Castaways thrift store in Morro Bay. Less than $2 apiece. The Busy Day number would make a fantastic apron, but who knows what I'll do with them. No plans yet.

I LOVE the new piece. So fun and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the color... would so go in my front bathroom.

My sisters and I planned a trip to the Rose Bowl Flea Market in november! Good thing Mark and I got a big truck recently, we are going to need the puppy for all the junk we gals will be bringing home. I have great plans to re-do our office now that Mark quit his job and no longer needs a home office. I think 2 1/2 years of it being a "man" room is far long enough. I mean, come on, he gets the garage, so why can't I decorate every other room in the house to my liking?! :)
