Peach Pie...

Cousin Julie came over today and we decided to make a peach pie. Mostly I wanted Julie to teach me how to make the sweet treat because she's just so gosh darn good at it. I took some of the overripe peaches from Miriam that I had been saving in the freezer and finally put them to good use. Julie taught me a few peach pie making tricks, the biggest being that she uses flour instead cornstarch in the filling. The pie filling held together much better than I'd ever seen it do before. Overall, a great learning experience & of course, a fun day with my cousin.
