My mom called Thursday evening wondering if I'd like to join her on her trip to Fresno on Friday. She was planning to accompany G. Sue to her doctor's appointment & then head to Sanger to watch Denise's volleyball team play in their weekly game. If you know me at all, you know that I am a planner through and through. A spur of the moment trip to Fresno, not ordinarily something I'd consider. I had things to do on Friday...aerobics, some housekeeping, and lots of sewing. My day was planned...but how could I turn down a trip to visit 2 special people? I couldn't, so I went...even though it was a last-minute invitation. It was all worth it, of course. G.G. Sue was happy to spend some time with Henry, and we surprised Denise with our volleyball spectating. It was a good day. I need to remember that even when things aren't planned in advance they still might be worth doing. This was one such case...
We witnessed Denise's first volleyball win in the 2 years that she's been coaching!
Henry appears to be enjoying the blocks I made for him. That sure makes mama proud :)
