John's 30th birthday party...

Although John's birthday was way back in March, we decided to celebrate with some of our closest friends & family members during Spring Break. I knew I wanted to throw John some sort of 30th birthday party, but I wanted it to be something that he would really enjoy. I also wanted to be able to include as many of his close friends as possible, which is no easy feat considering most of them do not live in our hometown. When it came right down to it, I knew what John would enjoy most would be watching a sporting event with his friends. So that's what we did!

We met at Recreation Park in Visalia to enjoy a picnic dinner with our friends & family members and then walked next door to the Visalia Rawhide baseball game. Some only stayed for dinner and did not attend the game, while others made it to the game but missed the picnic. Either way, John was surrounded by the people that he loves the most and was able to participate in his favorite activity with his friends...scorekeeping at a baseball game. I think he had a great time! (And lucky for me, all of John's friends/cousins' wives are fantastic, so we always have a great time when we are together too :)

Thanks to brother-in-law, Andrew for all of the great pictures:

Jill's oreo cupcakes. Jill makes the best cupcakes that we've ever tasted (and we've had our share of cupcakes :)...

Henry loves "Gaa's" cupcakes...

We are so thankful for the wonderful friends & family members that we were able to celebrate with. Maybe we can do this again for his 31st birthday...we'll see :)
