The park...

We try and take advantage of our neighborhood park as much as possible. I'm of the mindset that the more positive members of the community are out and about and utilizing community services, the less often undesirable community members will be out loitering and causing trouble. It's also great to take advantage of huge grassy areas that we don't have to mow or maintain :)

When we got to the park all Henry wanted to do was play baseball with dad. He does not like to play with me...at all. When I try and play he pushes me away and says, "No, no, no...out!" If we are at home he tells me to go into the house. Apparently we have well defined parental roles around here.

After baseball he wanted to swing, but before I could get any initial pictures of that, he fell off the swing into the wood chips and needed me to console him. On the other side of the baseball coin is the fact that John does not do the comforting around here. If Henry's hurt he only wants me...

After we took care of the tears, Henry decided he wanted to swing in the little kids swing (less chance of falling out)...

His Franz cousins have taught him about underdogs, so he likes to ask for them by saying, "Woof!"...daddy gives the underdogs...

Another great day at the park!

I like your theory about using public spaces. I'll need to remember that and use them more!
