He's my sweet little farm hand. Maybe someday he'll grow up to be a farmer, or have a garden of his own...
I think I spent $17 total on all of my plants when I bought them, and this garden has already more than paid for itself. Not that that's why we have one, but sometimes it's nice to keep track of such things :) I think my favorite things about a winter garden is that it requires so little maintenance! The cold and rainy days keep it pretty moist, so I rarely have to water it, which is great. I'm definitely a winter garden convert!

Oh man I miss CA. And it's rain. And "cold." I've been putting a lot of research into possibly getting a garden started. I'm thinking I'll be spending a bit more than $17. I like your raised beds. I think I'm going to have to go back and look at your "recipe" for raised beds!
