On our second day in San Diego we went to the zoo. It pretty much started raining as soon as we got there, so we ended up going to the hotel for lunch and naps and then coming back after that. Luckily it had stopped raining by then. My camera was having problems, so these uploaded in reverse order. I could fix it, but it doesn't really matter all that much, so I'm leaving it :) Again, there are ALOT of pictures...
Charlie loved the sea turtles...
There are LOTS of pictures of the kids with this hippopotamus! He was probably the highlight of our zoo trip. He swam up to the glass right in front of us multiple times, and on his first pass in front of us, he pooped and gave all of us a laugh :) Seeing an animal of this size swimming underwater is pretty remarkable!

After the zoo we went to a restaurant called Corvette's Diner and Grandpa Bob introduced the boys to arcade games. I hope they don't get too attached to the idea of playing arcade games at restaurants because mom and dad aren't nearly as generous as Grandpa!
It took them a few tries to figure out ski ball (well at least it took Henry a few tries...Charlie just kept crawling up the lane and throwing the balls in the holes!)...
And here starts the beginning of our zoo trip...

And here's where the rain panchos came out. If it weren't raining so hard, I would have taken a lot more pictures of us in them!
And that's it for the zoo! Although the zoo was huge, we managed to see a good chunk of it. The rain actually worked in our favor because it kept the crowds away. Fun day :)
