Why is it...
...that as soon as it starts raining certain kids in my class ALWAYS have to "go to the bathroom"? My first year I fell for this trick, but soon realized (after 2 kids came back soggier than a wet sponge) that it was just a scam. All they really wanted was an excuse to play in the rain. Today I put a stop to these antics post haste. Sopping students combined with holiday "cheer" would have made for an even longer, less manageable day. I can't wait until tomorrow at 12:31 (I'm praying for no fog).

We're not done until 1:15 tomorrow! My first graders were literally bouncing in their chairs this afternoon.

Yes, Yes, I know I have no reason to be excited, as I've only actually taught 4 whole weeks out of the past 4 months...
But still, I'm excited!
