oWe enjoyed a relaxing weekend away with Brian, Shana, and Janae. The guys were supposed to relax and not think about basketball after a long season, but instead, we often found them staring at the TV and plotting future offenses, defenses, & out of bounds plays. Is there ever really an end to the season?... I think we'd all agree that the weekend served it's purpose well. Shana, Janae, and I managed to spend almost our entire Saturday afternoon at 2 fabric stores (lots of projects to come). Janae and I played lots of "store". We'd "drive" around for awhile then we would stop at the store of her choice. The stores primarily consisted of the food & fabric variety. She would bring her merchandise to me and then I would "scan" her items and send her on her way with her new purchases. It took all 4 of us to wear her out. Here is the weekend in pictures...

On the Pismo Pier annex
If you look closely you might be able to tell that the Pismo waters reached all the way to the wall separating the street from the beach. It was a bizarre site. None of us had ever seen anything like it.
Again, another strange sight. This whole high surf experience prevented us from walking on both the beach and the pier.
Apparently I didn't look at the back of my hair before I went out. (Good thing I don't really care.)

I probably should have warned John about the driftwood in his path rather than taking his picture...good thing the wind caused the aerobie to change course, thus directing John away from the potentially dangerous piece of wood.
