Our Women's Ministries group at church had their annual yard sale this weekend. The sale begins on Saturday morning, but the church has an "early bird" shopping time on Friday evening from 6-8pm. I helped sort the donated goods on Thursday night, so I already had my eye on a few things before I left. I won't lie, I was a little bit nervous that someone else might beat me to my fancied items. My worries were for naught, however. They were ready and waiting for me Friday night, just like I'd hoped they would be (although Toni and I did arrive about 45 minutes early to shop, so that could have had something to do with it ;)
7 Berenstain Bears books- $.25 apiece John loved to read these books as a child.
This amazing dresser- $5 I don't have a place for this just yet, but I know I will need it sometime in the future. I plan to remove the brass knobs and replace them with clear glass ones instead.
And this Jenny Lind highchair- $4 It does need a bit of work on the tray locking mechanism as well as some securing of the wooden slats on the back rest, but well worth the $4 I spent on it, I think.

3 cheers for yard sale finds!!!!!
That is awesome! When Emily was little, Scott had classes most Saturdays and had to leave the house early. Emily and I would head out to a yard sale and spend $3-5 on "new toys." It was a fabulous way to take a walk and provide new entertainment for her when we got home. :)
Another successful church garage sale. Glad we were early to swoop on our finds.
