Halloween 2010

Halloween festivities started on Saturday, October 30th. Henry and I headed to my parents to trick-or-treat and have a Halloween lunch. Henry got a jack-o-lantern straw and a Charlie Brown book along with a few treats from Grandma Gail. The straw was probably Henry's favorite item. Fun times!

After lunch Henry played the piano with Grandma Gail...

After lunch at my parents' house, Henry took a nap and then we celebrated again with our small town parade and carnival. I entered Henry in the parade, but he was grumpy, so we ended up not participating (so no pictures, unfortunately). Maybe next year.

On Halloween night, we headed to Great-Grandpa Art and Great-Grandma Donna's house for some more Halloween festivities. The men stayed inside and watched the World Series game while the ladies either prepared the food or took pictures of the kids. It was a good time as is always the case.

Isn't Henry's outfit cute? I lucked out in the hand-me-down costume department this year...

Anna, Charlotte, Laurel (she was put on Henry-holding duty and did a great job!), and Henry

Anna (cowgirl), Mama Kristen, Caroline (pea in the pod), Elinor (no costume this year due to a nagging sickness), Grandma Cindy, Charlotte (Duchess from the Aristocats), Laurel (Candyland fairy princess), and Henry (lion)

I've never really been one for much Halloween celebrating, but it's fun with little ones!

Maybe having to dress up like a dog when you didn't want to soured you on the Halloween experience until now. I will always love that Halloween picture with your scowl. Priceless!
