Flowers...
For the first time in all of his farming years, my dad is growing flowers! Kind of a fun crop to have, I think. He sent some home with me yesterday and I am really enjoying them. The only problem is that they have quite a strong smell. Which is great if you love the smell of flowers...but not so great if you are allergic to it :( So, the flowers have moved to our patio outside. Maybe if I open my windows things will improve and I can bring them back in. We'll see.

the flowers are stunning! i am craving the simplicity of not living in the big city. i read yours and toni's blogs and always leave smiling and refreshed. henry's quilt is going to be great and you look fantastic! thanks for giving me a peak into a calmer california life.
