Henry's room (part 3)...

We've added a few more things to Henry's room. It's not quite done, but it feels comfortably habitable, at least.

John hung these shelves last week and I painted the old brown cabinet mustard yellow. This is now my favorite spot in Henry's room...

Up close view of the shelves....top shelf-Cindy's quilt & one of John's old basketball trophies (Henry loves it!). middle shelf- baseball bunny from Grandma Donna, family picture, and a locker basket from the Alameda Flea Market. bottom shelf- piggy bank from Grandma Sharon, red basket from Long Beach Flea Market, Martha Stewart Alphabet cards, and the sock monkey I made for Henry. top of cabinet-painting John painted with his Grandma Donna (she just found it and gave it to us...very special!), picture clipped from the newspaper of John shooting a basket while in college (Henry loves this picture), & random pictures of Henry held up on wires.

I hung Henry's name letter's above his bed. I like them there, but I am going to have John secure them even more with some 3m command strips just to make sure they are extra safe. None of them are heavy, so I feel safe with them above him. I also hung a little line of raffia underneath the letters to hold random pictures. You'll also notice that Henry's quilt has found a home on his bed! Yeah! Once I sew on the quilt label I will post pictures of it in full.

So that's what we have so far. I'll post another update when/if I add more. I still want to hang a few pictures so hopefully I will get to that soon. If not, I think it looks good as is.
