Last week Sharon, Henry, and I took the train to Fresno to see Aunt Jill & visit the Chaffee Zoo. It was such a great trip! Henry loved the train ride, and didn't even seem to mind the fact that we arrived an hour behind schedule due to engine problems. Once we arrived Jill picked us up from the train station and drove us to the zoo where Henry especially enjoyed the seals (they balanced balls on their noses, which only increased his obsession with them!), monkeys, giraffes, and brushing the goats in the petting zoo. I was blown away by how great this zoo was! It had a nice variety of animals, was clean, and was very lush and beautifully landscaped. I can't wait to go back again!
Here are some pictures from our trip:
I love this picture of Henry...It looks like he's walking around counting the animals to make sure they are all there. Too funny!
Brushing the goats with Aunt Jill (he wasn't so sure about this at first)...
At the seal show. What a hit for Henry!...
We had to visit the goats twice. He was much more confident around them the second time he went in...
If only I had my sunglasses in this picture, (oh wait, Henry broke them on the way to the zoo) my already squinty eyes don't do well looking into the sun...
On the way home with Grandma Sharon...
Overall this was a great trip! We definitely need to take advantage of the train & zoo more often.

The Fresno Zoo is terrific! We took our boys there thirty years ago and I love that you took the train! Great idea. Thanks for sharing your photos adorable Henry.
Looks like a fun day!
