More of Henry's birthday...

After the fire station we had our families over for lunch for a family birthday party for Henry.  When I asked Henry what he wanted for his birthday lunch, he said, "Pepperoni pizza, BBQ chips, and chocolate cake."  So that's exactly what we had (with the addition of a vegetable platter (mom's choice) and strawberries (Henry's choice of fruit).  We had a great time and, most importantly, Henry felt adequately celebrated, I think.

Henry was very excited about his presents this year!  He couldn't wait to open them.  He opened one and exclaimed, "This is exactly what I have been wanting!"  So cute :)

My aunt brought my cousin's boys down from Sanger for the fire station, so they stayed for lunch before their long trip back home.  All the boys loved Henry's new toolbench...

After the strawberries Levi and Charlie needed a bath.  That's a whole lot of baby chub in one place!

After we got the party mess all cleaned up we sat outside and enjoyed the birthday decor a bit more as we watched the boys play.

I finally got around to filling my pots with succulents, herbs, flowers, and strawberries.  What took me so long?!...

These last 2 pictures are from Henry's actual birthday on Sunday.  We went up to Fresno to support Denise & Andrew as they dedicated Levi to the Lord.  I made a cake so that we could sing to him at lunch after church.  I think I have a future in cake decorating, don't you think? (Obviously I'm joking).

This concludes our celebrations of Henry.  Sometime in the next few weeks, I hope to have an update post on Henry at 3.  He's such a sweet little guy that I need to make sure that I write down what he's up to so that I don't forget.  Happy Birthday Henry!
