Pismo Trip: Summer 2013...

We spent our annual week at Pismo with the extended Wiebe family in the middle of July and had a great time as usual!  We did our usual things: beach trips, Avila Valley Barn, SLO children's museum, park visits, house activities, and lots of cartoons :)  This year we also included potty training Charlie during the week, which surprisingly wasn't a disaster!  He had some failures, but his successes definitely outweighed them, which was good!  A bit of commentary on the pictures, but I will mostly let them speak for themselves.  There are A LOT of them...

Basketball in the driveway with daddy...

I may have enjoyed the coloring books we brought more than the kids did :)

The house becomes quite the minefield with all the toys scattered about...

John and Henry playing cars baseball (which deserves an entire post of it's own)...

He invited all of Ruby's princesses to his baseball game and Ruby even had a dollhouse toilet that he liked to use as the stadium bathroom...

Lots of beach baseball...

S'mores...

SLO Children's Museum...

Avila...

Grandpa Bob & Grandma Sharon with the grandkids.  There wasn't a clear "winner" here, so I included all the pictures for fun...

Henry sneezing...

Grandpa Bob, Henry, and Charlie showing their ages...

Avila Valley Barn...

Lots of reading...

Such a great trip!  The only problem we had was when Bob, Jay, Jill, and Ruby drove away from Avila with our keys (and our cell phones were locked in the car :(  It took us over an hour, but eventually we got everything straightened out thanks to a AAA call to unlock the car and a chance meet-up with my family's long time friends, the Driskill's, who were gracious enough to let us use their cell phone.  This definitely wasn't a highlight, but it did give us a good story to tell!  Oh, and another lowlight of the trip was that I got rear-ended in the van in SLO.  We were stopped at a stoplight and the girl behind me said her foot slipped off the brake, so we have very minimal damage to our bumper.  Other than those little snafu's, a great time was had by all!
