Charlie's Christmas Date...

This year for Christmas we gave the boys "Christmas dates" as their main gift.  We decided that since Luke has been receiving the bulk of our attention these days, we wanted to make sure our big boys were feeling special and loved too.  For Charlie's date we took him to the Park at Riverwalk to play on the toys and ride his tricycle, Russo's Bookstore, Me-N-Ed's pizza, and Dewar's for ice cream.  We all had a great time.  It's so fun to have one-on-one time with the boys (Luke was there out of necessity, but that's ok :)  Maybe these Christmas dates will become a tradition for us, who knows?  Charlie keeps talking about wanting to go on his Christmas date again, so we think he had a good time too ;)

Even though we went to the trouble to plan these dates, Charlie is still 2 and threw a fit as we were dropping Henry off with Grandma Gail :/  Apparently he wanted to ride his blue tricycle instead of his red one.  We can only do so much...

When we got to the park he was still mad about having to ride a red tricycle, so he didn't want to ride it at all.  We played on the toys first before he warmed up to the whole tricycle thing...

Love this one...

Charlie got to choose between Moo Creamery and Pizza.  He chose pizza :)...

Our last stop was ice cream at Dewar's.  He chose vanilla...

We really had a great time on this date with Charlie.  We can't wait to do something like this again!
