I married into a gob of wonderful family tradition, and if you know me at all, you'll recall that I am a real nut for anything related to family history, tradition, heritage, etc. So New Year's Day is another opportunity to embrace another one of John's family's annual traditions. Every year, on New Year's Day, 5 families (from only 2 extended families) gather together to enjoy football, chili, homemade doughnuts & fritters, pizza, games, walks, and um...yeah...more food. It's another reminder of the importance of good friends & good families.

This was my 7th year partaking in the New Year's Day festivities, the last 7 years have been full of growth & promise and this year hopes to include more of the same.

Like you, I count myself lucky to be a part of the New Years extravaganza. I mean, when else is it acceptable to eat gobs of chili, donuts, and pizza in the span of 6 hours?? It was fun talking houses with you!
3 Cheers for the Frantz & Penner extended families. It's fun that we're quasi-related. We must continue to share house & decor ideas, I love it.
