Happy Birthday to Sharon...

We spent the day celebrating Sharon's birthday. It started with lunch at The Orchid, a thai fusion restaurant, that we all enjoyed. Jill & I had the "Nutty Spicy", which is kind of an odd name for a dish, but it did not disappoint. The most interesting meal choice was Bob's: "lobster macaroni & cheese"...I'm not kidding. He said it was good, but didn't have the spicy thai flavor he was looking for.

After lunch we headed home where Sharon & Jill made the richest chocolate peanut butter mousse cake we had ever tasted. You see, Sharon loves peanut butter & chocolate and has passed the preference down to her children, although John seems to love the combination more than Jill (chocolate isn't so much her thing). After a full game of Mexican Train (starting with double 12's and working all the way down to the double blanks) we all left feeling 10 lbs. heavier, but oh so happy.

The birthday girl

The cake mid-frosting (Jill's super good at the frosting part due to her newly acquired cake decorating skills thanks to her class at Michael's)

The finished product...I'm feeling fat just looking at it.
